Timothy Jones
Tim’s law practice includes most aspects of immigration law, with a focus on family immigration and business immigration. He speaks regularly on the marriage green card process to student groups. He published a book on K-1 visas, which can be found for sale here. He is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and is active in the Idaho AILA chapter, where he previously served as Secretary and Treasurer.
Tim has been practicing law in Eastern Idaho since 2011. He graduated from the University of Cincinnati College of Law in May 2011 in the top 20% of his class. During his last two years of law school he served on his law school’s Law Review and he worked for Burg Simpson, a large law firm with offices in several states. He was President of his local small town Idaho Kiwanis in 2014/2015.

Dafne Vences-Silvas
Legal Assistant Dafne Vences-Silvas has been working full-time with the Law Office of Timothy Jones since 2021. She was born in Mexico and is fluent in Spanish and English; she also speaks French. Dafne grew up in Idaho Falls and graduated from Skyline High School. She has an Associates Degree and is currently working on a Bachelor Degree online through the University of Idaho. Prior to working here, she spent more than two years working for other law firms in Idaho Falls. She works out of our Idaho Falls office.
